In the world of UFO Gaming, we’ve always believed that early supporters are the foundation of a thriving ecosystem. When we introduced Plasma Points as a reward for staking UFO tokens, it was designed to recognise and reward our most engaged users.

As the Plasma Points airdrop lands in eligible wallets, we want to share the thinking behind how we’ve structured the Genesis NFT mint. With our migration to the Beam network, the upcoming launch of the Genesis collection, and preparations for open beta underway, this marks a major step forward.

It’s time to realign our reward systems with our long-term vision, one focused on fairness, growth and sustainability.

Let’s break down how it all works and why it matters.

Why Plasma Points Were Introduced

Back when staking was live on Polygon, users earned Plasma Points (PP) for locking their UFO tokens. The goal was to reward loyalty, incentivise participation and give first access to our Genesis Origin UFOeps collection.

As we prepared for the minting phase, one thing became clear. The initial distribution created imbalances. A small number of users had enough PP to mint dozens, even hundreds of NFTs, while others couldn’t reach the minimum 1,000 PP to claim just one.

This wasn’t just a fairness issue. It risked undermining the value and accessibility of Genesis Origin UFOeps, limiting new player entry and concentrating supply in a way that could harm long-term growth.

A Smarter Path Forward: Controlled, Fair Distribution

We paused, analysed the data and developed a three-phase Genesis NFT release strategy. This approach rewards early stakers while ensuring a fair and sustainable rollout.

Total Genesis NFTs: 10,000

1. 1,190 Genesis Origin UFOeps will be distributed through the Plasma Points airdrop and community minting
2. 8,810 Genesis Origin UFOeps will be reserved for whitelist, public sale and trading activation

We’ve taken a snapshot of PP holders and created a transparent, tiered structure. Each tier reflects how many Genesis Origin UFOeps a user can mint based on their Plasma Point balance.

How the Minting Works

The minting process is split into three exclusive community rounds, available only to wallets that received the Plasma Points airdrop. If you hold 3,000 Plasma Points, you’ll be able to mint one Genesis Origin UFOep per round, up to a maximum of three.

What makes this mint special is that it’s not random. You’ll be able to choose the exact Genesis Origin UFOep you want to mint, directly from the ten available characters. Whether you’re drawn to Lumina’s electric energy, Speytri’s firepower, or the mysterious glow of Myronox, this is your chance to build your squad your way.

During the community minting phase, trading on the marketplace will be paused. This gives everyone a fair chance to claim their favourites before listings begin.

A Note on Rewards: You’ve Already Earned Value

It’s worth noting something important.

When Plasma Points were introduced, they were intended purely as a non-monetary staking reward for Genesis NFT access. Partway through the staking period, we also added UFO tokens as an additional reward, even though this wasn’t initially part of the plan.

If you staked UFO, you didn’t walk away empty-handed. Many of you earned real, liquid value through UFO token rewards alongside your Plasma Points. This was our way of thanking early supporters and strengthening long-term participation.

Why Not All Plasma Points Are Redeemable

Some users earned over 100,000 Plasma Points. It’s fair to ask, “Why can I only mint up to 3 NFTs now?”

Here’s why.

Allowing full redemption would have enabled a small group to claim the entire 10,000 NFT supply, leaving none for new players. That would have created a bottleneck and prevented organic ecosystem growth.

Without adjustments, we would have seen:

1. No supply available for new players
2. A handful of wallets dominating gameplay access
3. A stalled launch before it even began

Instead, the remaining 8,810 Genesis NFTs will be sold for USDT and $BEAM, which will:

1. Fund continued game development
2. Support ecosystem growth
3. Enable new users to enter through public sales

This approach protects the value of your NFTs, keeps things balanced and ensures long-term success.

Important: Plasma Points Are Non-Transferable

To keep things fair and secure:

1. Plasma Points are non-tradable and non-transferable
2. They cannot be sold or sent to another wallet
3. They exist only in your eligible wallet
4. Their sole purpose is to mint Genesis NFTs, and once used, they have no further utility

What About the Remaining Plasma Points?

You might notice that the contract still holds a large portion of the total 10 million Plasma Points. That’s intentional.

While the total supply allows for up to 10,000 mints, only a portion is being distributed now. The remaining 8,810,000 Plasma Points will be held by the UFO Gaming team and will not be used to mint NFTs internally.

Instead, they may be used for:

1. Onboarding live streamers, gaming creators and influencers
2. Rewarding active community members through future campaigns or events
3. Providing minting access for players during promotional phases

Any use of the remaining Plasma Points will be transparent and announced through official channels.

How to View Your Plasma Points

To see your Plasma Points in your wallet, you’ll need to add the Beam network to your wallet and then add the Plasma token manually.
