Staging Environment Deployed: Super Galactic and UFO Gaming Hub Enter Next Phase
The universe of Super Galactic is evolving — and so is the UFO Gaming Hub.
We’ve now set up a new environment called Staging (Pre-production), which is a key step before the next phase of testing and updates. This includes both Super Galactic and our UFO Gaming Hub marketplace.
The staging server is now live, but we’re still working on connecting the game and marketplace interfaces, as well as setting up the backend systems. Once everything is in place, we’ll begin testing with our beta players.
What Is Staging, and Why Does It Matter?
Until now, we’ve been working only in our development environment — a place for the team to build and test things quickly, but not very stable.
Staging (also known as Pre-production) is different. It’s a much more stable version of the game and marketplace — designed to reflect what things will be like once they’re live. It’s where we test new features in a real-world setting, without the risk of breaking the live version.
For example: When we’re ready to release the Breeding feature, we’ll first move it from the development environment into staging. Our beta players will get early access to try it out, give feedback, and help us spot any bugs or issues. If anything needs to be fixed or improved, we can do that in staging — before it ever reaches the live game.
This helps us make sure everything is working smoothly before it goes public.
Dev vs Staging vs Production — What’s the Difference?
Development (Dev):
The internal playground. Fast, flexible, and experimental. This is where our team builds and tests features quickly — but it’s not stable enough for real-world use.
Staging (Pre-production):
A stable, near-final version of Super Galactic and the UFO Gaming Hub.
This is where we:
Run QA (Quality Assurance) to catch bugs and polish performance
Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with beta players to ensure everything works as intended
Simulate real-world usage before launching publicly
Production (Live):
The final, polished version of the game and marketplace that everyone will use.
What’s Happening Now?
We’re actively integrating the game and marketplace into staging and ensuring backend systems are fully functional.
To safely make these updates, beta access will be temporarily paused while we prepare the environment. Once everything’s ready, we’ll notify our testers and gradually reopen access.
Approaching Zero Point
Staging is not the end.
It’s the gateway.
One last layer before things take form — permanently.
