Super Galactic Closed Beta Development Update
The Super Galactic team has been hard at work addressing community feedback and refining the closed beta experience. This development update provides a detailed breakdown of fixes, balance adjustments, and new UI improvements that will enhance gameplay. Below is a summary of the latest changes for the community:
Fixes & Improvements
1. Duel Mode Fixes:
When a new round starts in Duel Mode, both players are now reset properly. Previously, this bug caused the following issues:
Skills that remained active even after a round restart.
Status effects that were not reset after death.
Ranged weapon ammo not being reset correctly.
2. Skill Aiming Fixes:
Fixed an issue where players could manipulate aim points after activating a skill but before the skill animation started. Previously, this bug allowed players to throw grenades or teleport beyond the intended skill range.
Fixed skill aiming helpers glitching after death. These aiming guides now display correctly.
3. Skill Fixes:
Laser Beam:
Visual effects are now correctly removed when a game session ends. Previously, they continued displaying beyond the match.
Ring of Flames:
Fixed synchronization issues between clients.
Improved animation smoothness.
Fixed damage calculations to ensure accurate damage distribution.
Auto-Finishing System:
Fixed synchronization issues between clients.
Improved animation smoothness.
Emergency Welding:
Balanced the skill by increasing the cooldown duration to ensure fair gameplay.
Teleportation Skills:
Fixed camera glitches that occurred when using teleportation-based skills.
4. Joker Soldiers Visual Fix:
Resolved an issue where joker soldiers had mismatched body parts. Previously, legs and ears could be swapped compared to what was shown in the main menu.
New Features & Enhancements
1. UI Enhancements:
Duel Score UI: A new scoreboard UI has been added for Duel Mode.
TDM Score UI: A dedicated Team Deathmatch scoreboard has been implemented to enhance match tracking.
2. Dancing Lights Skill Rework:
Removed spiral motion from the light spheres.
Light spheres now launch sequentially at 0.5-second intervals.
New projectile behavior: Light spheres now travel in a straight line, damaging every enemy they touch.
Obstacle interaction: Light spheres are now destroyed upon hitting an obstacle.
Fixed self-damage issue: Previously, this skill incorrectly damaged the user. This has now been resolved.
