Super Galactic: Enhanced Enemy AI for a More Dynamic Experience
Super Galactic is evolving, and we’re excited to introduce a major gameplay enhancement that redefines combat encounters. This latest update brings a more immersive and reactive enemy AI system, introducing two distinct enemy modes: Patrol Mode and Alert Mode.
Patrol Mode: A More Dynamic Open World
To make the universe of Super Galactic feel more alive, enemies are no longer in a constant state of aggression. Here’s what’s new:
- Players will now encounter squads of enemies that are either stationed in place or patrolling the map.
- These enemies will not engage unless provoked, either by taking damage or by the player getting too close.
- If a player takes too long to defeat a squad, the game will escalate into Alert Mode.
- Expect to find these enemy squads near quest objectives, making exploration and combat encounters feel more organic.
Alert Mode: The Existing System, Now Tougher and More Strategic
Alert Mode has been refined to add more depth and challenge:
- Enemies now come in waves, making fights more structured and intense.
- The number of waves depends on the difficulty setting and how many alerts have been triggered during the mission.
- Once in Alert Mode, enemies will actively chase the player, forcing tactical movement and engagement.
- Every consecutive Alert Mode becomes progressively more difficult, scaling with the player’s success and chosen difficulty.
- Starting a quest (except hostage rescue missions) will immediately trigger Alert Mode, ensuring high-stakes action from the outset.
- Once all waves are defeated, the game transitions back to Patrol Mode, providing a natural rhythm between combat and exploration.
What This Means for Players
This update enhances Super Galactic’s single-player experience by creating more fluid and reactive enemy encounters. You now have more control over how and when combat happens, as stealthy approaches may let you bypass some fights, while aggressive play keeps the action high.
